Tungsten, due to its hardness and resistance to high temperature, is very suitable as a key component of the tool used to drill or cut other metals, concrete or rock (such as family drills, metal working tools, dental tools, etc.).
These properties also make tungsten alloys suitable for critical temperature sensitive and wear resistant mechanical components (such as engine valves, ball point pen tips, turbine blades, and snow tire bolts).
The abrasion resistance and temperature characteristics, combined with tungsten electrical conductivity, also make ideal of tungsten as a resistance to the critical temperature of the components in the electronic circuit and the contact point (for example, the LCD panel, a television tube, laser printer, window heating wire, car horns and electrical switching apparatus)
The high density of tungsten is also suitable as a weight or in specific mechanical balance application (aircraft flap, mobile phone vibration system, crankcase balance weights, golf club as an environmentally acceptable alternative to lead bullets).
